In collaboration with a talented group of friends, I worked to create a captivating art piece that serves as a testament to our collective creativity. This project unfolds a unique narrative, crafting our own 'final girl' trope set against the backdrop of Philadelphia, PA – a city that holds profound significance for us during our college years.
Presented on Halloween to an enthusiastic audience of colleagues, friends, and art enthusiasts, our immersive video work transformed the space into a hauntingly delightful and campy experience. The piece successfully merges physical and digital mediums, showcasing our experimentation with overlapping artistic expressions.
While I take ownership of this endeavor, it's crucial to acknowledge the valuable contributions of the actors and friends involved. Their input and personal interpretations of their characters played a pivotal role in shaping the final outcome. Drawing inspiration from iconic films such as The Scream, The Shining, Rocky Horror Picture Show, and Carrie, our project pays homage to classic cinematic masterpieces.
